The International School Hilversum ‘Alberdingk Thijm’ provides the opportunity for primary and secondary children to all learn within the same building. This creates a supportive, embracing, community environment that benefits everyone.

The International School Hilversum is one of only two schools in the Netherlands that provides an accredited International Baccalaureate programme throughout the whole school, including the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for children from the ages of 11 to 16.

The MYP welcomes children from our primary department into grade 6 (age 11) and the new bilingual stream for Dutch students in grade 7 (see MYP for Dutch children in the Bilingual Stream section of this website).

The MYP is a five year programme preparing students for the IB Diploma.
