Tuesday 27th April:

Good morning sunshine….finally!

Breakfast as usual before we trotted to the Science museum where  the students had to put  their thinking caps on to do their Science assignment. We took the opportunity to laze around in Hyde Park while having our lunch as the weather today was nice and warm,.  We went to the National Portrait Gallery for our Art assignment later in the afternoon before we cruised back on Thames River. After dinner, we made our way to the musical “Wicked”. Another tiring yet fulfilling day.

Wicked was wicked

Monday, 26th April:

After  a continental breakfast of jam and toast, we took the underground to Buckingham Palace,  then to 10 Downing Street and later to the Royal cavalry to see the changing of the horse guards. After a royal time, we braved our hearts to the London Dungeon to experience horror London style. Terrifyingly exciting!

A walk at the bank of Thames River  took us on board  the Imperial War Museum museum that was housed in a real war ship. After hours of playing captain on deck, Nsika and Erwin did their presentation on The Tower bridge and the Tower of  London.

Dinner; a hearty and healthy vegetarian buffet. With renewed carbo-boost, we were hyped and charged to go on the London Eye for a bird’s eye view of London at sunset.  Danny and Jesse gave their presentation on the London Eye.

Its late now. Lights off; 11 pm.  Time to rest our tired soles!

Sunday,  25th April:

After a smooth flight, we landed safely as scheduled.  We were greeted by London’s gloomy weather, yet  the students’ spirits kept  the temperature cool. We took the bus to London and enjoyed the English landscape along the way. After a short trip on the underground, we arrived at out destination; Chelsea House Hotel. We checked in, had a short break and moved on to the British Museum where the students did their SST assignment and later enjoyed a typical hotdog  at the local hotdog stand.

We still had time for souvenirs shopping  in Oxford  Street before dinner. “Shop till we drop”, said Ricky . Later, we had a taste of fish and chips. Yummy!

After dinner, we stopped at Westminster  underground station to have a look at the Big Ben  before heading back to the hotel after a long day out in London.
